the mean season

Everyone I know says Fall is their favourite time of the year. Personally I have a love-hate relationship; her dazzling beauty steals my heart yet, inevitably, her guise steals my light.

intuitive map making

Yes I have been working out some personal direction issues via encaustic.

The medium lends itself to this type of intuitive map making. Having faith and falling into it. Without question.

 I did have many falls in the making of this painting, but the process taught me a lot

Don't learn to do, but learn in doing. Let your falls not be on a prepared ground, but let them be bona fide falls in the rough and tumble of the world. Samuel Butler
