New Moon: January 1, 2014.
Full Wolf Moon. It appeared when wolves
howled in hunger outside the villages. It is also known as the Old Moon.
To some Native American tribes, this was the Snow Moon, but most
applied that name to the next full Moon, in February.
Happy New Year to you Jan, looking forward to spending another great year visiting your beautiful paintings on your blog. I noticed on my calendar yesterday that today was a New moon, interesting to hear about the connection with the wolves howling over in your country. They are trying to introduce wolves to Scotland again, will need to wait and see if the government will approve it.
